RE: Forfeiture of Retirement Allowance for Dereliction of Duty by Members

DATE: November 30, 2017

As you may recall, the Commission sent out a list of those members whose pension benefit was forfeited as of July 2017. It is our intention to make a list available to all retirement boards of all public employees who are no longer statutorily eligible to join a C. 32 retirement system on an annual basis.

After distributing that list one member was listed as forfeited, however, this pension was not forfeited. Please remove Steven Pereira from that list. Attached is an updated list.

If you have any of the forfeited members on this list who are active in your system please contact Kim Boisvert at 617-666-4446 extension 906 with the last four of your respective member's social security number. She will notify you whether that member is the same member that has been forfeited.

Thank you for your attention in this matter and please contact this office with any questions or concerns relative to this request.
